Destination Departure

“You have to begin to lose your memory, if only in bits and pieces, to realize that memory is what makes our lives. Life without memory is no life at all, just as an intelligence without the possibility of expression is not really an intelligence. Our memory is our coherence, our reason, our feeling, even our action. Without it, we are nothing.”

-Luis Bunuel

My final day of departure came as quickly as this mornings sunrise. It flooded through the windows and filled up the bedroom with fresh light.  Soon I will be adventuring off to Chengdu, China for a new chapter in my life. A garden of new possibilities have been growing in my mind and I can't help but wonder what is head of me. I believe in seeking out perspectives and knowledge in this world to help in understanding the many cultures and anomalous ways of life this small planet has. It is difficult to fully know one's self at such a young age. I believe the way to find yourself is to get lost in this world and make your own path. The lust for learning new things is motivating my mind. The excitement pumping through my veins is encouraging my soul. The caring devotion to helping others is warming my heart.
